The William G. Pomeroy Foundation® is committed to supporting the celebration and preservation of community history by providing grants that fully fund historical markers across the United States. Established in 2005 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Bill Pomeroy, the Foundation is a private philanthropic organization based in Syracuse, N.Y. It is the nation's leading funder of historical markers, having awarded more than 3,200 grants for markers and bronze plaques in 49 states and Washington, D.C.
